Moosehead Lake Cabin Packages
Whitewater Rafting, Moose Tours, Kayaking Packages
Location
Nestled on the southern shore of Moosehead Lake in beautiful Greenville, Maine. At the southern end of the lake there are three coves. East cove is where you will find the little town of Greenville and the historic steamship – Katahdin. Over in West cove, regional visitors will enjoy a large fishing wharf and the public boat landing of Greenville, Jct. In between the two popular and very public coves, Center Cove is a quiet little cove surrounded primarily by private homes.
Cabins
We have a duplex that offers two separate cabins with a shared deck. The two halves are known affectionately as the “Green Side” and the “Red Side.” Each of the two sides has two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower stall, small kitchen, a living room and a porch dining area. The two bedrooms both have a double bed and the futon in the living room also folds out to a double bed. The kitchen area offers a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, small stove and modest cooking supplies as well as dishware and cutlery for eight. The closed-in porch serves as the dining area and general sitting/reading room. There is a small TV in the living room with modest cable service.
Each half of the duplex is identical to the other half – except in color scheme! Please be aware that we do NOT allow smoking or pets in either cabin. Each side of the duplex has its own separate heating system. The duplex sits 300 feet back from the private beach. You can easily launch a kayak or canoe from the beach and be in either of the other two coves in less than 30 minutes. When the water is too choppy for a leisurely paddle, you can easily walk to town in 15 minutes or less. There you will find all the local flavor that is Greenville!
