We offer 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day instructional clincs at both our Level I (Beginner) and Level II (Intermediate) clinics. We are the place to go for whitewater kayaking instruction in Maine. All equipment is provided. There will be instruction both on and off the water. Let Northeast Guide Service's ACA-certified Instructors help you learn to whitewater kayak. All of our Whitewater Kayaking Instruction Clinics meet at our North Maine Woods Basecamp at Historic Pittston Farm (unless otherwise noted*).

Level I Whitewater Kayaking clinics are geared toward the beginner kayaker or sea-kayaker that is leaning toward whitewater boating. Learn whitewater kayaking fundamentals, stokes, techniques, and safety. Our ACA-certified instructors make it easy to learn and progress.  

Level II Whitewater Kayaking clinics are for graduates of our Level I Whitewater Kayaking clinics and for beginner kayakers who just need a little help perfecting whitewater kayaking basics and are looking to run the river a little better. We can put you in the driver's seat with our ACA-certified instructors.

• All equipment provided. State-of-the-art whitewater kayaks, lifejackets, paddles, helmets, skirts, all safety equipment, transportation, Certified ACA Instructors, and Registered Maine Guide on every trip, and our famous River Lunch are all included.
• Ages 14 and over welcome in our ACA instructional clinics. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18.
• Minimum 4 paricipants in all instructional clinics or join an existing class.
• Wetsuits are available at an additional cost and required on some trips.
• Video and photos are available on any trip at an additional cost and must be requested in advance.
• Book a trip or clinic with 16 people and the 16th person is FREE!!!
• Call for information on discount YOUTH GROUPS, CAMP GROUPS, and SCOUTING prices.
• Licensed Registered Maine Guides & Participants of past Northeast Guide Service ACA Instructional Clinics get an additional 15% OFF!!!

• We welcome the use of your own boat or equipment as long as it meets our specifications and guidelines.

Are you interested in learning to roll your sea or whitewater kayak? Do you want to improve your Eskimo roll or learn another type of roll? Practice makes perfect! Check out all our kayak rolling clinics throughout Maine. All equipment is provided, or bring your own boat to try your hand at the ultimate self-rescue. ACA instructors are on hand to help you succeed.
