Destinations are chosen based on activity level and water levels. This is a great activity for families with young children and active seniors. You will spend time driving to remote waterfalls and mild, leisurely short hikes for viewing on our half-day waterfall hikes and moderate hiking on our full-day waterfall hikes.

Maine Waterfall Hikes 1/2 Day Trips

We understand that you want to maximize what you see and do when you visit Maine, that is why our half day Maine Waterfall Hikes are the perfect option for you. Join Northeast Guide Service for a Maine Waterfall Hike when you visit the Moosehead Lake Region! We offer half-day Maine Waterfall Hike adventure trips to get you out, active, and experiencing the outdoor beauty of the area. Our waterfall hike half-day trips are 3.5-4 hours. Our Registered Maine Recreation Guide’s take you on a mild hike to venture into the woods to view and capture great photos of Maine’s waterfalls. Our half-day adventure trips meet at 9 AM.

Maine Waterfall Hikes Full Day Trips

In the spring, when snow is melting from the mountains, rivers and streams create cascading and beautiful Maine waterfalls. During the summer months, when hiking makes you hot, take a dip in the eddy pool beneath a towering Maine waterfall. In autumn, experience the breathtaking scenery of Maine fall foliage as your backdrop while viewing spectacular waterfalls on foot. Our full-day waterfall hikes meet at 9 AM and return to Northeast Guide Service by 4 PM. Our hiker’s lunch is included in all of our full-day waterfall hikes, enjoyed while picnicking with rumbling waterfalls as our lunchtime serenade.
